Smartmatta’s goal is to provide customers with smart solutions and tools to achieve their specific environmental goals. Their strategy states ‘zero waste to landfill’.
Imagine 200+ sites across Southern Africa, with 200+ Smartmatta agents working at these sites. With all communications between Smartmatta site agents and the Smartmatta transport planners happening via telephone phone calls and email conversations. Understandably, it became very difficult to manage, track, and provide accurate reports.
The company did not have a central operational system for facilitating these processes. They were not able to make use of a generic solution at this stage either, as not all on-site agents had access to laptops / computers for interacting with any system.
They did however, have a consistent medium available to them - this being the mobile phones which the agents used for calling the transport planners.
How could the agents connect with the transport planners seamlessly, using a mobile device, without having to make lengthy and expensive phone calls on a daily basis? Simultaneously creating visibility to all stakeholders and helping to ensure that Smartmatta meet their customers’ service delivery expectations?
The answer was very simple, a mobile app!

With this solution there is complete transparency of when the order was captured, by who the order was captured and what products need to be transported.
